Dubai Racing Club Stages Middle East’s First Autism Awareness Raceday

Dubai Racing Club is proud to announce the Middle East’s first autism awareness raceday at Meydan Racecourse on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Presented in collaboration with UK-based Autism in Racing, the initiative aims to make the race day experience more welcoming and accessible, encouraging individuals with autism to enjoy horseracing — whether as spectators, participants or future employees within the industry.

As part of the race day, Meydan Racecourse will introduce sensory areas in the Paddock Garden and thoughtfully designed, quieter spaces that offer guests the option to step away and enjoy the event at their own pace. This forms part of a wider commitment to raising awareness and ensuring a comfortable, inclusive environment for all racegoers.

Ali Al Ali, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Racing Club, commented: “We are proud to stage the Middle East’s first Autism Awareness Raceday at Meydan Racecourse. Thanks to the pioneering work of the team behind Autism In Racing, there is a growing understanding of how racecourses can create environments that are welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

We are grateful for their support and collaboration, and we look forward to delivering a race day that is enjoyable, thoughtful and memorable for all our guests.”

Jane Buick of Autism In Racing added: “We are thrilled to partner with Dubai Racing Club on an Autism-friendly race day at Meydan Racecourse – the first of its kind outside the UK and Ireland. Meydan is a truly spectacular venue, and its proactive and inclusive approach sets a powerful example for racecourses and sporting venues around the world.

Our aim is to make sport accessible to as many people as possible, and we are incredibly appreciative of Dubai Racing Club’s commitment, hospitality and leadership in this space.”

Tickets to the Paddock Garden are AED75. For more information and to book visit dubairacingclub.com.
