MAZRAT AL RUWAYAH (GROUP 2)
$36,000 | 1600m (dirt) | PA

Winner: RB MONEY TO BURN (US)
Pedigree: Majid Al Arab (GB) – RB Burn Baby Burn (US) by TH Richie (US)
Owner: Shkha Alyazia bint Sultan Al Nahyan
Trainer: E Lemartinel
Jockey: Tadhg O’Shea
Official Time: 01:46:56
Track Record: 01:45:55 –  AF MATHMOON – 2017
Margin of Victory: 2 Lengths

Tadhg O’Shea, Jockey, RB MONEY TO BURN, (1st): “She is a very good filly, and she lost her way a little in the last run. I was drawn wide on her tonight and the plan was just to give her a little chance. She is naturally very fast. She settled well, she is a high class filly, and the Al Asayl team have got her back on track.”

Eric Lemartinel, Trainer, RB MONEY TO BURN, (1st): “We agreed (with Tadhg O’Shea) that we would not push her to the front and let her travel well out of the gate. We are hoping to keep her fresh, and in that time we expect she will get in better shape, and the final objective is the Kahayla Classic for her.”

EMIRATES SKYCARGO (HANDICAP)
$68,000 | 2410
m (turf) | TB

Winner: STAR SAFARI (GB)
Pedigree: Sea The Stars (IRE) – Intimhir (IRE) by Muhtathir (GB)
Owner: Godolphin
Trainer: C Appleby
Jockey: William Buick
Official Time: 02:29:46
Track Record: 02:26:83 – WALTON STREET – 2021
Margin of Victory: 3/4 Length

William Buick, Jockey, STAR SAFARI , (1st): “It was an obvious race for him, an extra two furlongs, but it wasn’t unknown. He ran very well on a mile and quarter the first time, and he has entirely come on which he showed tonight. The pace worked out nicely, and he has that turn of foot. Now that he stayed on a mile and a half, there is probably a few more options for him. This is only his sixth race, he is lightly raced and you would think he would only improve.”

Charlie Appleby, Trainer, STAR SAFARI , (1st): “We were confident the step up in trip would suit him. William has given him a nice ride, turning in he had a bit of traffic to get through, but once William managed to angle him out, and give him a clear run, he galloped strongly to the finish line. We will probably regroup and get him back to England and see what his options are. We are pleased obviously that he won here tonight”.

MEYDAN TROPHY (CONDITIONS)
$50,000 | 1900
m (turf) | TB

Winner: SECRET PROTECTOR (USA)
Pedigree: War Front (USA) – Eternal Bounty (IRE) by Galileo (IRE)

Track Record: 01:56:16 –  YA HAYATI – 2020
Margin of Victory: 5 1/2 Lengths

William Buick, Jockey, SECRET PROTECTOR (1st): “He is a very nice horse, obviously unexposed, because he has only had two rides in England. The second time he won really well. You can see there is still improvement in him. He is a big robust horse and he is not the finished article yet, he has gor plenty of natural talent, and we couldn’t have asked for a better race for him tonight. Everything worked out lovely and we are delighted with him.

Charlie Appleby, Trainer, SECRET PROTECTOR (1st): “I am sure he is going to be one of the horses that will be at the forefront of our squad. He would have gained a lot of confidence this evening, and physically he is improving every week. He is a nice progressive 3-year-old, and we are yet to see the best of him and where we are going to finish up.”

AL MAKTOUM CHALLENGE R2 (GROUP 2)
$293,000 | 1900
m (dirt) | TB

Winner: SALUTE THE SOLDIER (GER)
Pedigree: Sepoy (AUS) – Street Fire (IRE) by Street Cry (IRE)
Owner: Victorious
Trainer: F Nass
Jockey: Adrie de Vries
Official Time: 01:57:37
Track Record: 01:55:18 – MENDELSSOHN – 2018
Stakes Record (Meydan dirt): 01:56:67 – FROSTED – 2016
Margin of Victory: Length

Adrie De Vries, Jockey, SALUTE THE SOLDIER, (1st): “It went to plan, I expected Capezzano to lead and I wanted to sit in second. My horse started to get a bit racy, but I needed to react, and I could give him a blow on the turn to fill him up again. We hit the front soon and he always just does enough, he was getting very tired in the end and he was entitled to, I think we went fast, riding a bit deep. This is a big point for us, maybe we can go for the big one (Dubai World Cup) with this horse. He needs to step up, I think he would have learnt a lot today. He is a funny horse and was late to mature, and not easy to train, and there is still room for improvement”.

AL RASHIDIYA (GROUP 2)
$163,000 | 1800
m (turf) | TB

Winner: ZAKOUSKI (GB)
Pedigree: Shamardal (USA) – O’Giselle (AUS) by Octagonal (NZ)

Track Record: 01:45:52 –  JUST A WAY – 2014
Stakes Record (Meydan turf): 01:47:41 – BARNEY ROY – 2020
Margin of Victory: 3/4 Length

William Buick, Jockey, ZAKOUSKI(1st): “I always thought the race was set up nicely for him. The pace was nice and even, he did well, he really knuckled down and showed a lot of good qualities. This flat track and nine furlongs really suited him well.”

Charlie Appleby, Trainer, ZAKOUSKI(1st): “We felt this race would be run with a bit more of a sensible pace and William got a lovely ride here today. We have stepped up in trip for the horse, so we will look at Jebel Hatta for him on Super Saturday.”

EMIRATES SKYWARDS (HANDICAP)
$65,000 | 1000
m (turf) | TB

Winner: MOTAFAAWIT (IRE)
Pedigree: Intikhab (USA) – Rayaheen (GB) by Nayef (USA)
Owner: Sh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Trainer: D Watson
Jockey: Sam Hitchcott
Official Time: 57.20
Track Record: 0:55:90 – ERTIJAAL – 2017
Margin of Victory: 2 1/2 lengths

Sam Hitchcott, Jockey, MOTAFAAWIT, (1st): “He showed a really good turn of foot, obviously we were dropping back in trip so there was a question mark over whether we would have the speed with him early, but when Caspian prince is there, there was a good strong gallop. He travelled into it nicely at half way, And I felt like he had everything covered. Full credit with team at home for having a go at dropping him back in trip. I feel six furlongs would suit him best, and he will improve.”
