Emirates Airline to Sponsor 28th Dubai World Cup

Emirates Airline is set to sponsor the 28th edition of the Dubai World Cup; the flagship race of the season in the UAE and one of the most prestigious in the world.

The event underscores Dubai’s position as a hub for global sporting events. As one of the most notable races on the international calendar, the Dubai World Cup highlights the city’s commitment to excellence and innovation. Emirates’ continued support reflects Dubai’s status as a destination of choice for world-class entertainment, further solidifying its reputation on the global stage.

Run over 2000metres on dirt, the Dubai World Cup [Sponsored by Emirates Airline] will be run take place at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, March 30th, boasting a prize fund of $12 million. Established in 1996 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, it the race has seen victories from international superstars over the years, including Cigar, Dubai Millennium, Curlin, Arrogate and the race’s only dual winner, Thunder Snow. In 2023 it the Dubai World Cup was won by the Japanese-trained Ushba Tesoro, who has returned to defend his title.

Emirates Airline has been a supporter of racing in Dubai for more than two decades and it regularly backs meetings at Meydan Racecourse, including the important ‘Emirates Super Saturday’ fixture.

ترعى طيران الإمارات النسخة الـ 28 من كأس دبي العالمي؛ السباق الرئيسي لهذا الموسم في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وأحد أرقى السباقات في العالم. كأس دبي العالمي (فئة1)، والذي تبلغ جوائزه المالية 12 مليون دولار ستتنافس فيه الخيول على مسافة 2000 متر رملي في مضمار ميدان يوم السبت 30 مارس.

السباق يرسخ مكانة دبي كمركز للأحداث الرياضية العالمية، باعتباره واحداً من أبرز السباقات في التقويم الدولي، ومن خلال كأس دبي العالمي يظهر التزام المدينة بالتميز والابتكار، فيما يجسد دعم طيران الإمارات المستمر مكانة دبي كوجهة مفضلة للترفيه، ويعزز سمعتها على الساحة العالمية.

السباق الذي أطلقه في العام 1996 صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، شهد انتصارات لنجوم عالميين على مر السنين من أبرزهم بطل النسخة الأولى “سيغار” وبطل دورة الألفية “دبي ملينيوم”، والفائز المثير على الأرضية اللينة “اروغيت”، والوحيد الفائز مرتين في السباق “ثندر سنو”. وفي عام 2023، فاز بكأس دبي العالمي الجواد الياباني “أوشبا تيسورو”، والذي يستعد للدفاع عن لقبه هذا العام.

تدعم طيران الإمارات السباقات في دبي منذ أكثر من عقدين من الزمن، وهي تدعم بانتظام السباقات في مضمار ميدان، بما في ذلك الحدث البارز “طيران الإمارات سوبر ساتدراي”.
