Longines presents the third meeting at Meydan Racecourse

Swiss Watchmaker Longines will present the third meeting of the season at Meydan Racecourse, on Friday, November 25^th.

Longines, a long-time supporter of horse racing in Dubai and all over the world, will lend their name to a seven-race card which includes the Group 2 Madjani Stakes for Purebred Arabians, an early lead up race to the Dubai Kahayla Classic in March. In 2021 the 1900metres contest was won by Kerless Del Roc, subsequently runner-up in the Kahayla Classic.

The most valuable race on the card is the 1200metre handicap, for Thoroughbreds rated between 80-100, which could give some clues as to horses headed for the Dubai World Cup Carnival. It is a useful prep race for the Listed Garhoud Sprint, which takes place over the same course and distance on December 9th.

Their support of equestrian sports is considerable, while their backing of Dubai Racing Club includes the Longines Dubai Sheema Classic, one of the world’s most valuable turf races, run on the Dubai World Cup card in March.
