Nakheel, the world-leading master developer, is sponsoring the G1 Dubai Golden Shaheen, the featured sprint race on the prestigious Dubai World Cup card, taking place on 25 March 2023 at Meydan Racecourse. 

Carrying a prize fund of USD$2million, the Dubai Golden Shaheen is one of the most competitive races on the card. Inaugurated in 1996, it has an illustrious roll of honour including Caller One and Mind Your Biscuits, the only dual winners, as well as Reynaldothewizard, one of the most popular horses to run in Dubai in recent years. In 2022, it was won by the Bhupat Seemar-trained Switzerland, who is set to defend his title this year.

Nakheel, whose iconic developments include the world-famous Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Islands, has been a huge supporter of racing in Dubai for several years, also sponsoring the sixth Dubai World Cup Carnival meeting at Meydan Racecourse earlier this season. Nakheel is committed to building happiness and prosperity for citizens, residents and visitors and its sponsorship of major sporting events aligns with Nakheel’s goals to promote health and wellbeing.

The Dubai Golden Shaheen is scheduled as race six on the card, with a post time of 6:25pm on 25 March 2023.
